It cannot be measured in any tangible form.” St. Andrew’s Higher Secondary School, Vasco, is an edifice of learning nestled in front of the scenic Vaddem lake, has an aura of respectability, friendliness and excellence not just in academics but also in the formation of the character of its students as well as the development of the all-round personalities of every child that pass out from the portals of the Institution. The positive aura that surrounds St. Andrew’s emanates from the focused management, young as well as experienced members of the staff who are ever enthusiastic, students who are ready to learn and improve and the state of-the-art infrastructure that nurtures the growth of students transforming them into worthy, productive, efficient and effective citizens of our nation.
A luminous radiation of St. Andrew’s can be attributed to the fact that education here is designed and administered in such a way that each student is given several opportunities to develop to the fullest extent of his/her abilities, realize his/her potential and along with it develop an attitude to put those abilities to the service of others in the society. In doing so the multiplicity of aims of education viz. social aim, individual aim, character building aim, vocational aim, citizenship aim and self-expression aim are focused and developed in every student.
We believe that the youth of today need to be readied for a global stage a generation of young people who are thinkers, inquirers, articulate and confident to take to the world stage and compete with the best brains in the world. This is exactly what we aim to do at St. Andrew’s HSS. We wish to make education at our School, a total experience, where student slog for ‘A’s at academic, participate and excel in all co-curricular, extra-curricular and sports activities with enthusiasm and yet actively involve themselves with community service projects. St. Andrew’s HSS of tomorrow must retain the capacity and creativity to adapt itself to the needs of the time without sacrificing the good and time- honored ideals and moral values.
Like all great Institutions we have our dreams, ambitions and aspirations and to convert them into tangible realities, is our goal. We set our standards, strived to reach them and elevated ourselves to higher planes. Our experiences always giving us scope to learn, to question, to reflect and introspect. We are ready to welcome new thrusts, new questions, new problems, new solutions and new heights. We know that we have to continue to work hard for it but we are raring to go. We truly endeavor to make St. Andrew’s Higher Secondary School, Vasco a model seat of wisdom and values.
